Associate Programs Newsletter #554 July 12, 2013.
Starting small and aiming high? Here's a guy who's done it, in a
BIG way.
This week an Australian TV show, A Current Affair, ran an item
about Australia's "eBay king", David Mills.
David began selling items on eBay in 2006 and now has an annual
turnover of $40 million, and gets 10,500 new customers every
month.
When he started selling on eBay, he was packing boxes on his back
porch. Now he has a monster warehouse that occupies nearly a
hectare (108,000 sq ft).
He's only one of "quite a few hundred" eBay millionaires.
I'll tell you more about this but first, a word from our latest
sponsor...

David Mills says there are a million products you can make money
on, using eBay.
You'd never guess his biggest selling item. It's chainsaws.
He advises choosing products that are simple and that you know
something about.
What caught my attention on the TV show was a tip-off about a
brand new official eBay guide, written by Todd Alexander, who has
worked for eBay for nearly 12 years and has written several
earlier books about eBay.
The new guide is called "The New eBay: The Official Guide to
Buying, Selling, Running a Profitable Business".
Unlike the old "Official eBay Bible", which was aimed at
everyone, this new guide is aimed specifically at Australian eBay
users.
It guides you through the very basic stuff to the more
complicated - from simple site navigation to every complexity of
buying and selling, Todd says. "Whether you just want to earn a
few dollars on the side or turn your hobby into a full-time
business, this book explains it all."
If you still think of eBay as an auction site for second-hand
goods, you're out of date - these days more than 80% of the items
sold on eBay are brand new.

Keeping a watch on new affiliate programs
=========================================
Sorry. I forgot to tell you...
When we upgraded our affiliate directory to a new version of the
software, the techies didn't tell me we now have a new RSS link.
So if you're using an RSS reader to keep an eye on new affiliate
programs added to our directory, you'll need to put the new RSS
link into your RSS reader.
Using an RSS reader is an easy way to keep an eye on the latest
affiliate programs as they are added. You may spy a new product
you want to promote quickly before other affiliates learn about
it.
We have an RSS feed for articles and newsletters, too.
See our RSS feeds here:

Which RSS reader should you choose?
You have heaps of choices. I like http://feedly.com
It's simple, web based (so it doesn't clutter up your computer)
and free.
Another choice...
If you don't want to use an RSS reader, simply bookmark this
link...
